This movie is an absolute masterpiece. Joker present us with mixed feelings for the character, pain, fear, love, maniac and utterly beautiful inner darkness. Joaquin diserves an Oscar. Phoenix was over the top spooky and I guess very good in this role, but as a movie there wasnt much there. His mom played by Frances Conroy was good. I admire her talent, DeNiro doesnt move me much the past few years (decades? and his teeth look like Martin Scorsese used some CGI magic left over from the Irishman to whiten them. I think the high rating for the film here are based on Phoenix's performance and not the film. A performance which I fear we will one day view as overrated.

Joker is that movie that leaves you breathless. You can't take your eyes from the screen, don't wanna miss any scene and when it's finished you are both thrilled of what you have seen and kind of depressed of all those people around the world who are "not being seen. Never forget his laughter that makes you wanna cry. Piece of art.
